Prop It Up! Workshop
with Caitlin Skinner – April 2020
Ever wonder what the teacher means when they say ‘use the block to bring the earth closer to you’? Or what the purpose of a bolster is? Or how you can deepen a pose using a strap? We will cover the four main props commonly used in vinyasa yoga classes and practice a slow-paced class where different propped modifications can be used. This workshop is geared towards the beginner but any level yogi is encouraged to attend.
with Harini Srinivasan – March 29, 2020 4:00pm-5:30pm
PRANA is called as the vital life force also knows as Kriya shakti which is responsible for governing of our body, senses and mind. AYAMA means to lengthen. Controlling the way we breath, changes the state of the mind, the perception, the function of the system.
In this workshop, we will look at the anatomy of the journey of air. Common breath adaptation in an asana practice, little theory of the types of vayus, and benefits and techniques of some pranayama practices. Space is limited, and registration is REQUIRED.
