WE ARE OPEN
You can now find us on our You Tube Channel – The Yoga Den
Please note that the previous COVID-19 precautions, as well as any additional ones required by the physical distancing policies, will be firmly in place. We will also have an adjusted schedule. As class sizes will remain small (especially Studio B classes) it will be more important than ever to register.
- We will cap ALL classes at 8 in the yoga studio and 5 in studio B, beginning March 21, 2020.
You will need to register if you are attending classes. By doing so, we let TULA know how many folks will be attending. Once the maximum number is reached, those who try to register will be told that the class is full. If you get this message, please do not try to come on a “walk-in” basis. The student cap will be strictly enforced.
2. All towels have been removed from the studio.
We will have small rags available for cleaning mats. If you are coming for a heated class and need a towel, please bring one from home. We DO NOT want any studio towels being used to wipe our faces. Remember that all towels are washed in my home and there are about 3 to 4 loads a week. This is something that I can no longer do under the current circumstances.
3. We will discontinue the use of props, INCLUDING MATS.
Most of our blocks are foam and I cannot vouch for the validity of cleaning them with the spray cleaner we currently have. If we are using props we are using even more rags or towels to cover them and again, they have to go to my home to be washed. The bolsters and blankets would need to be washed after every use as well and logistically that is not possible.
STUDIO MATS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER 3/20/2020. IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A MAT PLEASE BRING IT WITH YOU.
All students are welcome to bring their own props, mats and blankets.
4. We will be using paper towels for hand washing.
Our Norwex towels have been removed from the bathroom and we will be using paper towels instead. The Norwex towels will self sanitize and kill bacteria, however, there is no evidence that they work on any type of virus. Please use the paper towels and toilet paper sparingly. I am sure you have noticed that they are in short supply.
5. All workshops and specialty classes have been cancelled/postponed till July2020.
KEEP WASHING YOUR HANDS AND STAY HOME IF YOU DON’T FEEL WELL – EVEN IF YOU THINK IT IS ALLERGIES!
At The Yoga Den it is our mission to hire qualified teachers who view teaching Yoga as a ministry as well as an extension of their personal passion. We believe that we have an obligation to share what has been given to us and then impart, to others, the things that have helped us move forward in our own personal lives. Because of those personal experiences we feel that Yoga should be a key component in ones spiritual, emotional and physical well being. We strive to provide teachers who will help you heal the whole person and not just the physical body. We believe that being “fit” means much more than a healthy heart and proper body weight. We know that it begins in the inner most part of our being. If we can begin to change how we think and feel about ourselves then the affects will soon be seen in our outward body as well. Most of all our hope is to be a light in the darkness, a place of hope and of healing, and a deep well of LIFE to all who seek to make us a part of their lives.
